Everything you need to know about raw feeding, our products, and ordering in Ontario.

We offer home delivery across Ontario with both local and frozen shipping options. Our frozen shipping ensures your raw dog food and raw cat food arrives in perfect condition regardless of distance. Visit our shop page to see delivery options available for your area.

We recommend a gradual transition over 7–14 days. Start by replacing 25% of your pet’s current food with raw, then increase the ratio every few days until fully transitioned. Some pets — especially cats — may take longer. Learn more on our raw feeding guide, or send us a message for personalized advice based on your pet’s age, weight, and health.

When handled correctly, raw food made from human-grade ingredients is safe for healthy dogs and cats. Their shorter, more acidic digestive tracts are naturally designed to handle raw meat. Always thaw in the refrigerator, wash hands and surfaces after handling, and keep raw food separate from human food. Our products are provincially approved and vet-endorsed — read more on our Why Feed Raw page.

We’re a small, independently owned Ontario operation making raw pet food with human-grade ingredients — meaning everything we use meets the same standard as food made for people. Our products are provincially approved, made locally in Collingwood, Ontario, and available at Abernant Veterinary Hospital. We’re not a mass-market brand; we’re a passionate team you can actually reach. Learn more about us here.

Yes. Carnevore Mountain products are available at and endorsed by Abernant Veterinary Hospital in Ontario. We believe raw feeding and veterinary care work best together — if your vet has questions about our formulations, feel free to have them reach out to us directly.

All orders ship frozen using insulated packaging designed to maintain safe temperatures during transit. We take frozen shipping seriously — your pet’s food should arrive in the same condition it left our facility in Collingwood. If anything arrives thawed or damaged, contact us within 48 hours with your order number and we’ll make it right.

Yes — cats are obligate carnivores and thrive on raw, species-appropriate diets. We carry raw cat food formulated specifically for feline nutritional needs. If you’re unsure which products are right for your cat’s age, size, or health condition, we’re happy to help — just send us a message.

Yes — in fact, starting young is ideal. Puppies and kittens benefit enormously from a species-appropriate raw diet during their developmental stages. Portion sizes and protein ratios will differ from adult feeding. We recommend speaking with your vet and reaching out to us for guidance on raw feeding for young animals. Browse our full product range to find age-appropriate options.
